    The Toasty Top

I can make a WonG with a stainless steel roasting tip that will work in both the TT and HI. Here is a photo of an 18mm one I made with a glass roasting tip for the HI.

I have never sold any spare cores because they are the most rugged and durable part of the unit. The only cores I have sent out were for replacing the few units that had the two piece core. You should never need a new core for your HI. The core should be good for a few thousand years. Very easy...

You are welcome. Glad you were able to install the new core yourself. So nice that the design allows that level of serviceability. Good that there are only a handful of the old cores out there yet to be changed. They are covered under the warranty.

    The Toasty Top

There are a few options for GonG stems. A 14mm GonG fitting will accept a thread-on SS roasting tip using a silicone sleeve. An all glass roasting tube (14mm GonG) will accept a slide-in or dimple style SS roasting tip using a silicone sleeve. The slide-in or dimple style tips will have better...

You are welcome Ace.357. They do make wonderful hand warmers. The shape feels so good in your hands. Vito - Glad your hands are staying warm too. The new core improves air flow and heat up time but it doesn't get the wood quite as warm to the touch so it is not quite as good of a hand warmer...

Thanks Big Daddy. Good to know that I have some friends / customers that will help bring me some continued sales. In turn, I get to provide a very special device that everyone can continue to enjoy for years to come.

Those honeycomb glass screens would be just the perfect size for the 12mm glass tubing and 14mm GonG connectors for the HP. I'm sure we will see it soon. That would make the HP even more unique.

    The Amazing Vapor Lung!!!

I use the cheapest food storage bags I can find. The size will depend upon how big of a bottle you used. Cooking bags will work, but are very noisy. Just something big enough to fit all the way up inside of the bottle. Happy making. Hope it works well for you.

    E-Nano from Epickai

Are those Honeycomb glass screens melted into the end of a 13mm glass tubes? Looks like they are 9mm in diameter. They come in various sizes from 7 to 9mm. The heat must flame polish them a bit. Looks very nice. Are you doing your own glass work? Edit - Was asking questions as you were typing...

It wasn't really an ideal time or place for me to start a business last year. Hoping the next year will be much better. I'm trying to get caught up on some of the piece parts I will need for production. As I was manually drilling 606 1/8" holes in 3/8" SS tubing yesterday, I was wondering how...

    Discontinued A Hot Pod

Cool photos OTA. I have seen those for sale at the local hardwood store. Looks like a fairly easy material to turn. If I used one to make a HI would it be called a HIPod?

Thank you everyone. It has been quite a year. I have learned so much. What a great opportunity. Never imagined it would be possible to turn glass on a lathe until I tried. Have some plans for new glass roasting tubes after I get settled in. A true 18mm GonG all glass roasting tube will be one of...

u bwade wunner - Very cool modification. I love how versatile the HI can be. Keep up the creative thinking. I may have to play around with the ezbowl myself. Your psu looks right side up to me since you are down under. It probably works the same either way. Would love to find one that is that...

Vaporiser design element idea: cool air inlet mechanism.

It sounds like the E-Nano can change temperatures so quickly with 110V available that air mixing temperature control wouldn't be necessary. Although air mixing does allow for faster temperature changes. That is certainly true when designing HVAC systems (my last employment). The higher...

Thanks. No Desert Ironwood Burl yet. I just need a piece of wood that is 1.5" x 1.5" x 4" from which to make a HI. I'm always on the lookout for a nice piece of burl wood. Some have even sent me the wood to use for their HI. There is a very good possibility that HI's will get made from both of...

    Discontinued A Hot Pod

hazy - Have you tried using only beeswax for a finish? I have been having great luck with it. I use a heat gun to heat up the wood until it is hot enough to melt wax. Then I rub a block of pure beeswax onto the hot wood. The wax is drawn deeply into the wood fibers. I have a special pair of...

mom - You must have one with the two piece core yet. It is a quick 5 minute job to change out cores whenever your would like one that won't get loose. Glad to hear it is tight again now. I have found that it is the moisture that affects the wood dimensions the most. When cool, the wood will...
