this may help....when your mp is down the switch/latch catches just below the sliding ring, thats why you hear it moving (top pic) when you push the mp down, the ring catches on the switch/latch and provides a bridge so the mp can slide out.
yeah, the pax must be calibrated for that specific type of battery and anything else throws it off. I got 1 hour 36 minutes on high temp party mode till the flashing red light and death. At first i just wanted to see if i could change the battery, so i randomly bought two cheapo batteries on...

just soldered micro bullet connectors on the pax wires and the battery tabs (male and female) popped the pax on the charger and everything is green. now i can swap out the batteries on the fly. i left the wires intact and it's a tight squeeze with the connectors, but it keeps the battery from...
i did a battery swap just for the hell of it. used a 3800 mAH chinese battery with solder tabs. i agree with mr krinkle, don't try it unless you know what your doing. it's really easy to lose stuff and ruining the o-rings is almost unavoidable. i got some longer running time, not much, but the...
when i first got my pax i hated the restrictive airflow and tried everything to improve it. over time i have gotten used to long slow pulls and lately i have been keeping my hand over the oven to restrict the air even more. less air=better vapor imo.
i agree,,, i did a battery swap and the first lesson i learned was to keep the oven door on which will hold the magnets in. Also if the magnets fall out you must put them back in the right way because of the polarity. Plus there are two tiny pins on each side of the oven which can fall out (...
no problem,,,alot of the online pics are decieving. I use these and they work really well with no cotton fuzzies clogging everything up. the smallest one works well on the switch/latch area. i never have a temp light issue.
I stopped at Harbor Freight yesterday, those brush sets are way too big for the pax. http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece-airbrush-cleaning-brushes-68155.html you want something like these.
I strongly suggest sending it back. I had to send my first pax back because of an infamous blue light issue (non-fixable). It took ten business days to get my new one, but it is flawless. The other day i was thinking "man, i'm glad i had to return that other one, this one runs way better". Also...
could you cut the tabs off at the battery, strip off some of the heat shrink, get a new battery with tabs already on, then just solder the two tabs together? or maybe solder small female spade connectors onto the wires, and plug them onto the tabs of the new battery? any thoughts folks?
i have an account with usplastics cause i buy buckets off them, what particular type is the best? theres quite a selection. probably one with a high working temp? I wasnt trying to beat anything, i didn't think it mattered because the vapor wasnt traveling through the tube. my ignorance.
new 18/14 adapter came from ALT, its nice and short. a small piece of 1/2 i.d tubing and your good to go. the zero drag of the Mobius works well with the restrictive draw of the pax.
