Mine had that happen.
I put the stem in a glass of ice cubes (small pieces). I left it there for about 3 minutes.
Then I turned it right side up the took a drop of water with liquid soap in it and put it on the joint so that it soaked in for abot 15 seconds and with a slight twist and pull it...
I get a year or more out of a screen
Just hold in a pair of needle nose pliers and heat to red hot with a lighter then take a brush or toothpick and brush it off inside and out. Better than new. Less metal residue with the vaper. I even do it to new ones.
ymmv
Love my Milaana!
Sorry I meant that I have seen porcelain laboratory equipment like mortar and pestles that had a 'ground glass' finish either in the cup part or the bottom.
Like I mentioned before, if someone was going to do it they would have to get like the Chinese to make a run of them, to their design, if...
I have seen other ceramic connectors with the 'ground glass' finish also. I think porcelain.
Yes it would be good to know where to get replacement joints.
If they are easily changed by the owner they would be fine..
Not critisizing here! Could be good for the manufacturer.
I manufacture wooden musical instruments so I am looking at it from a builders angle.
I am brainstorming since I also have a broken joint and I'm on the other side of the...
Still it would be good for international customers and others if these on demand convection vapes that have a fragile glass female connector to eventually have connector that is stronger than the present one.
I know in the beginning it's not possible but if they get more popular I think some...
Oh nice.
I thought it might be a specially made thicker female joint above the heater in the unit.
It would be nice to make that out of some ceramic that was stronger than the glass stem in case of breakage of the stem holding joint by the glass stem hitting something first...(did I say that...
Yo, what is the glass piece you are holding and why is it special? It looks like the female connector in the body, but it looks thicker and not tapered. If so are these available in other sizes?
Thanks. It seems to work either way.
Anyway I filed down the screen to fit end to end.
The p2 is practically perfect. Just needs one model with ruberized surface for oitdoor types..
Whatever...
I was wondering how many people have received Pax2's who's screen only fits tilted from side rather than titled at one end over the draw hole like he said above?
Hi Ryan, The Milaana didnt arrive to Boston. My friend left on sunday night and it still hadn't arrived.
Can you track it? I have a re-shipper in the US if you can get it...Thanks.
The Milaana is the best!
Now the only other improvement I would try to do, if possible, if I was making them is a female connector from an 'unbreakable' ceramic oxide. Maybe Zirconium?
It would cost some to get the you know who to do a run but in the long run it would make it virtually...
