Does the oven get warm? If so, try packing the crap out of the oven. Even 1/2 full, but packed.

I think there's merit in the thought that Iso is overused. We've found that NO Iso is great, meaning just a bit of Iso would be all that is needed. <<Another shameless plug for 99% Iso>>

Someone else posted this recenly, but I hold the Pax with the temp switch up, oven down. Then I slide a lightly Iso soaked pipe cleaner from the oven side up to just near the top of the steel vapor path tube, then back down. Right, but if the unit is new that leads me to think it's a physical connecton failing for some other reason than resin.

So this would be an electrical contact issue within the Pax? Not something dirty, but rather just a loose connection of some sort? Since you can wiggle the mouthpiece t get some action, it would seem like a loose connecton as compared to something wrong with the PCB

Sweet. I've never seen a battery tab. I assumed it was a disc with a lead wire. So I can just solder right to the tab and hopefully not create too much heat. Excellent. Thanks Dude!

Dude, I haven't opened the Pax yet, but I thought there was one wire from the spot-weld to the PCB. So if you're installing a bat with spot-welded leads, these two leads would have to be soldered to the PCB, yes?
