Has anyone seen the new grinder soon to be released by lift innovations?
Also has changeable plates and different screens.
Interesting design. Wonder if it will get gummed up though?
Ah no. It’s a special mouthpiece DynaVap only bestows very rarely. There might be 5-10 in existence. I’m actually not even sure what the material is, or whether I would actually use it regardless. Maybe once on principle, or for special occasions. It is silver in color, with geometric angles...
I feel like most of us probably haven’t cleaned them much yet since they just came out. I soaked mine when it came, probably quite unnecessarily, in the little Dyna-wax container it came in with some iso. This has worked well for my @Squiby method s&b pad in the past.
Agreed! This and another...
You probably could? Might get too hot, so you would need to play with temperatures. Also you need enough pressure, so you would have to have something very hard underneath that was heat proof, so you could put all your body weight on it. Also would probably need to try a pre-press.
Agree 100%.
But...
I do think there should be something on the instructions that recommends a clean first. Is it self explanatory for most of us? Of course. That doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be listed as a step for first time users. I have found sharp metal shavings in my stems.
we can’t see your picture. Try using tiny pic or post image. There is a thread here called the sandbox where you can test posting images to make sure they are visible. Imgur doesn’t like us.
Definitely at least clean the vapor path (condenser and tip) with some iso q-tips. Often the inside has some black machining grime. I don’t soak new pieces, just q-tip till they come out clean. Some come clean from the company. Some are FILTHY.
Congrats on your newest addition!
Has anyone with an ER stash had to replace the little silicone container, or found one they prefer? I just got my first, and didn’t realize that you basically have to take the container out to use it each time, which seems like a good amount of wear and tear on the thin silicone.
