I requested a refund, quite clearly.
But I got an email offering to 'repair the seal', as if that would somehow solve everything.
The unit doesn't meet my needs.
It's too heavy (seal won't fix that), it's hard to hold and depress the button (seal won't fix that), it uses too much material...
I have the Square Pro, just got it yesterday.
I'm rather dismayed at the battery life. I can get one bowl out of it, then it needs to be recharged. And recharging takes a while, even with the huge wall wart that comes with the Pro.
This makes the unit pretty silly. What's the point of 4 bowls...
About the size of a rice grain is all you need. I use the silicone lid for wax. It does gum things up faster than flower, but it shouldn't overflow into the oven at all. Just swab out the airway, clean the can and mouthpiece, and you're ready to go again.
People laugh when I tell them, but just rub a little skin oil on the MP before inserting it ( I just touch the side of my nose to get some). That will make it easier for a few times. That said, wax really does gum things up fast. A couple sessions is all it takes.
Here's my solution to the sticky mouthpiece. After cleaning, rub a finger on the side of your nose, and then rub the MP with the very fine skin oil before inserting it back into the Haze. That will make it easier to remove for several sessions, and doesn't affect anything else. Try it!
So here's an interesting story - I have 2 Haze's. I bought the V2 a long while ago, and when the 2.5 came out I got one of those also, and kept the V2 as a spare. When the V3 came out, I sent in the 2 to be upgraded, and then later also sent in the V2.5 to be upgraded.
When I got the first V3...
Yes, I put the tab inside the can. They still don't stay on anywhere near as good as the silicone ones do. Plus, the tabs bend. And like I say, they gunk up the lids of the oven. The new silicone lids don't work as well with dry herb because they stick down too far into the can and they don't...
I'm sad to hear that the original silicone lids are discontinued! They work much better with dry herb than the new ones, and I don't like the SS lids because they gunk up the oven covers so badly (and they fall off too easy). Is there any way I can stock up on some, if any are left? Even...
I've had my V3 for a little bit now, and I'm starting to have a couple of small problems with it. For one, the mouthpiece has become very loose. At first it was so tight it was hard to remove. But now, after some usage, it's so loose it will actually fall out if the unit is warm and I hold it...
One thing that doesn't get mentioned much, is how easy the Haze is to use even in the dark. I use mine for insomnia sometimes, and I can operate it in the dark safely, without getting out of bed. Not too many vaporizers can make that claim!
I got my V3 upgrade and it's great -- everything I already love about the Haze but with the little issues fixed and refined. Battery door is much more secure and more sturdy. I think it might still break if dropped but not as easily, and it doesn't pop open accidentally. The mouthpiece redesign...
By the way, my switch always seemed a little stiff, but it didn't stop being stiff until it broke! Now that it's repaired it's back to normal stiffness. Both my units feel similar. So I think that's normal.
Got my repaired unit back today. I still don't know why it broke. I keep the unit very clean. Anyway the Haze folks fixed it under warranty so all is well again.
My switch just broke, too. It still moves and turns on the heat, but the sleeve doesn't rotate. I've been careful about cleaning but it did seem to get harder to move after a while. Guess I'll be sending it in.
Hi again all. I just ordered my second Haze, getting the Stealth Black this time. I considered just upgrading my current unit (a V2 graphite gray), but I didn't want to be without it for a week, and anyway I want to have a spare. I use mine all the time and it would annoy me now not to have one...
Now that I've had the Haze for a little while, and I've had a chance to wring it out a bit, here are my general impressions.
First of all, it's a great device that does the job it was designed for quite well. It's a classy device, nice looking and very functional. It does have a few things that...
I don't have the Ascent, I have the original DaVinci. It's a perfectly good vaporizer. A bit hard to clean, and not as versatile as the Haze, but it gets the job done.
This is just a quick thank you, to all of you who post here. I've been lurking for a bit. I got into vaping fairly recently.Started off with a DaVinci, and quickly realized the benefits of vaporizing. I know I won't be burning my herbs any more. So I decided to get another vaporizer so I'd...
