I am out of easy valve bags so I busted out my solid valve. It’s hard to choose a favorite really. They both have their pros and cons. The easy is obviously more convenient. And there is the reducer. But I like how the solid valve allows you to use small amounts of herb efficiently. It has a...
I’m sure I’m not alone but I wait for the heater to kick on to blow balloons with the classic. So it starts on the low end of the temperature window but ramps up to the high end by the time the balloon is filled. Full spectrum balloons. :)
The classic uses a bi-metallic strip thermostat. They have a on and off trip point. In this case there is a 18 degree spread from where the heater turns off and when it turns back on again. I have never had an issue with it. I have both digi and classic and they both work great.

It was very dirty when I started. I used a mr clean sponge dipped in alcohol to clean the bowl. And I soaked the entire heater core in iso to clean out any residue within it. Then I rinsied and dried it.
Yes I went with Sony VTC6 cells. My mighty is old. I think it was the first shipped to a US customer when they were first released. If you look back to page one of this thread you can see when I got it.
Some pics of the successful surgery.
The key to getting it apart and back together without breaking it is the tabs on top. They enter into the top of the housing and not the front. So you spread the bottom of housing then shift the front upwards to release it. As long as you don't try to...
Can someone point me to instructions on opening my mighty? I'd like to change the batteries and I'm afraid I'm going to break the case trying to get it apart. Thanks. :)
That looks great. It mimics the performance of my 3x7/Drake without taking up half my workbench. And it looks like you can tip it if that's your thing. The SS version is going to be very sexy. :D
