You need someone with a kiln, you could put one set in there just until it turns blue so you could have identical sets, one blue one silver. Or you could just try to free hand it with a torch but then they wouldn't be very even for the one set.

Definitely can't hurt to give it a good cleaning with iso then a burn off but the propane/butane is a propellant and will evaporate quickly, there may be some contaminants in the air itself that could be in there but I wouldn't worry much about that, probably fewer than the dust that settles in...
