You can heat the Dynavap however you want as long as you don't call it late for dinner. You can definitely make it work but idk if I would recommend it. I've heated the Dv with an electric stove coil even. There's also this post for a neat trick (and this one doesnt involve spinning) you can do...
also got a replacement a few hours ago. I had a nice conversation with Jim from Magicstone about the device and what he thought was wrong with it, etc, and I'm glad to report that the new one works and I'm pretty stoned.
Some thoughts:
• This one actually works . Jim informed me that...
I got one of the cheap churchwarden pipes you can find on ebay, wrapped teflon tape around an 18-14 reducer, and yammed it in. I imagine you can do similar with just about any pipe unless it has a particularly huge opening.
Me too; I really like it. I agree with all of your pros and cons, and would like to add a caveat that if you aren't into cleaning your things, this is not the grinder for you: the milling plate does get buildup fast and material will get caught between the "pestle" and the chamber wall and smear...
Couldn't say for sure lol but that makes sense to me! Iirc the heat sink was introduced cuz caps were getting scorched underneath, which i can confirm - my 2014 cap is like charcoal down there. With the ceramic doing its part to control heat discharge it probably takes a touch longer to get...
My WAG is that the older-to-you cap on the left is probably what was being sold as the hi-temp model for a little bit before becoming the standard cap. If so, it would have a ceramic heat sink below the hot plate.
quibbling, but melamine sponges are considered nontoxic. the cleaning action is purely mechanical, which is the main reason you dont want to inhale or eat them - its like inhaling or eating sandpaper. which is also why i wouldnt use it on the pan, so no arguments here!
Count me in the unimpressed camp unfortunately... too bad cuz I love how it looks and was really into the idea of a spoon-pipe vape! Don't have much to add to whats been said already except for: Lord above this is one noisy vape. If you ever wanted to listen to the plaintive song of a lonesome...
I think you'll find, upon reflection, that one difference between Putin and VegNVape is that one is exploding bombs outside your window and the other is (checks notes) having a respectful discussion on a vape forum (about wanting to be able to ethically spend more money on your products no less)...
Ngl, this is a pretty funny sentence  but as a customer I'm really disappointed. The thing barely had any additional "utility" to begin with. Something like a debowling spike in the spare bowl chamber lid and a slightly longer tube would have been nice. Now it's just an expensive metal doob...
re: inability to adjust airflow: when the airflow valve is fully screwed in its very difficult for the oven to twist it with just the o-ring friction. what ive been doing is after fully screwing in the valve i back it off just slightly; theres a noticeable "unsticking" feeling and i can then...
i do like the anvil :)
it isnt my favorite vape but subjectively i feel its the only one i have that i can say "pumps out" vapor (vapes with actual pumps/fans notwithstanding). not to go into a full on compare/contrast but with my other butane vapes, while i can get equally full extraction from...
