That might be because there is no real 'sealing' afaik and could see from pictures of others. The air sucked into the device goes down towards the metal plate below the heater and is then sucked through it. The picture below (with the PCB removed) shows that there's no other o-ring or anything...

I don't remember exactly, but i think being set on 1 with 3 (or 5?) clicks the revised board flashes the available colours. If you search the thread for "TM 1.5" or similar keywords you'll find it

oh, surprised to read this. when did you get yours? mine is supposed to be a rather recent one. would you mind having a look in the battery compartment whether there's something between the button and the board? all the way 'slit' out i can see a tiny gap between the button and the board.
