Nice, how did you disconnect the battery pack? Just by a pcb 'plug', like it looks eg on the display? And how are the batteries connected in that pack? Do you have any more pics you could share?

That sounds weird. Does the bulb switch off sooner than usual? Then it could maybe be a defect with the temp sensor... Can't imagine the bulb suddenly losing power. Or could it?

Not sure if it's what you mean, but the bulb sits in a socket as shown in one of the latest pictures in this thread.

Why would you need to remove the metal to clean the bowl? Or are you talking about below the screen or something? How are your devices doing? Would you mind to quickly explain how you disconnected the wires as you didn't need to solder? Are there plugs in place instead of the soldering or how...

Regarding your remarks on the PCB and top screw I understand that your recommendation is not to use TM at all, right?
