Little update on my power plug. I used Gorilla Glue and a toothpick to get the glue on a few of the threads and a little on the outside. A couple rubber bands to keep everything tight overnight and now she's back to running super hot just like day one! Easy fix. Thanks for the tip FC
How funny - I was just browsing the Underdog thread and site. Thank you for the suggestions! I will try out the glue because it does come out pretty far.
If I have better glue around like Gorilla Glue or something for wood would that be better than Elmer's white? I would think so
Hey there Zappers. Good to hear the news Rick!
The port where I plug the power cord into is starting to come out of my redwood Zap. What can I do to get it sealed back in there? Luckily it doesn't come out all the way.... yet. I am careful when using it but would like to fix this if possible...
Thanks Vito. I searched the site and found this one: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_10081_-1
Is that the correct unit? It says thatit's an AC to AC but when I searched the model #, this website says it's AC to DC when looking at the output/input.
Unfortunately, my Redwood isn't running as hot as it should. What I did last time when this happened was I switched out the power cord with another I had bought from Rick for a backup (when I bought my zap). Now that backup seems like it's on its way out.
How can I get another power cord/unit...
Best of luck going forward Rick. I think of you guys almost everytime I use my pretty Redwood Zap, and I am very appreciative of the fact that I was able to get such a quality product from you before all the BS. Good vibes sent!
Take care guys.
Glad your home life & Wednesdays are going well these days Rick - still enjoying my Redwood everyday! Thank you for your previous line of work, big time!
Hilarious! Sounds like fun.
I have particulates coming through super fine grinds in my glass tooty but that is it. Not really bothersome, I mean it can coat the bottom 1/3 of the glass tooty over time but by the time it gets really gunked up, it's time to ISO/QWISO everything anyways.
I have...
Thank you. I didn't know why I didn't think of a brush before... I have a few laying around for various purposes. Thanks again guys
I'll use a vacuum/suction on it every now and then just to make sure no plant material is building up inside there, but otherwise a brush seemed to remove what I...
Well stuff got on it. I can see maybe 2 or 1 of the holes plugged up, talking about those tiny holes in the screen. Either way, isn't there a method for cleaning it?
Any idea what is best to clean the screen of the Zap itself? The SS mesh screen.
I figured a dab of ISO on a Qtip would work but don't want to have a lingering alcohol taste/smell, nor do I want to drop any liquid inside the screen. What do you guys think?
