If they were left on, quick and easy, but I would not use it in that case if you need to heat up both pieces. Takes too long for a nighttime hit compared to a much more on demand option.

Yeah, less even heating of the load is one of the few downsides of the CL. But not much you can do with that thickish rim holding in the screen for the balls and heater..

Generally, I like to have a solid covering of the bottom screen(enough flower that you can't see it) even if shallow, so that the heated air is going thru the flower instead of around it.
