^^^^ You should see the battery meter filling up while heating, with 4 bars, it will flash ,1,2,3,4 then 2,3,4 then 3,4 then 4 then just show all 4 bars int the window. The batt terminals go into the No2 first. and the switch has to be on. Sounds like a bad battery to me.
