I just did not like that BCG had a great design and now seems to be changing it just to make machining easier, quicker, and therefore cheaper to do. The old curved shape sits in the hand better than any flat-bottom grinder I have owned/used.

BCG has a great track record with a proven design, making it from S/S will only improve on this so I would not feel the FOMO if I were you plus the jeweled top on the BCG always impresses me and now looks even sparklier than the aluminium version...I just wish the bottom was not flat as it is...
