If your using 99.9% ISO I see no issue. In fact you could probably submerge the whole GH in 99%. That stuff just evaporates and should leave nothing behind. I have cleaned electronics boards with 99% ISO. So don't worry if some has dripped in.

    How well does it work?

What is the smallest/portable water/bubbler that can be used with the GH? Is there such a thing? Never used one before but because of the hot vapor from the GH (the Crafty vapor can sometime irritate my throat and makes me cough so GH would be worse for me) I think I may need one. But I don't...

So does the VC4. Even the cheaper models are more than sufficient. No need to spend extra with the LCD screen.

Xtar or Nitecores are both good. VC2 is 2 bay and VC4 is four bay, both identical.

    The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

When did you pre-order? I pre-ordered in May and still have not heard anything.

Wow, here we are waiting for our backer and pre-order GH's and this company has them for sale and in stock?

This is not a mechanical mod. A battery venting because of a short should not happen. It is very easy to put in short protection in the circuit, a simple fuse would do. Every ecig regulated mod out there has it, no reason for them not to have it. To be honest when I first saw the battery...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I have been an ecig vaper for years so extremely experienced with these types of batteries. With mechanical mods (no electronics) there was no protection. The vaper needed to understand ohms law and how much amperage the coil you built would draw and your batteries specs. And yes with...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I think there are two things GH should explain to us. First what battery protection circuitry is in place, short circuit, reverse battery, charging, etc. And second who makes these batteries and what are their specs. If they are getting it from some Chinese company then that Chinese...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

You would think there would be to make sure there is good solid contact. Its possible that the skin of the battery, in some cases, could prevent solid contact. I am just thinking of various issues I have seen over the years with mechanical mods in the vaping world. Can someone post a pick...

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

Is there a spring in the hopper for the battery contact? I'm wondering if in some cases the contact on the back end isn't perfect and you are getting some arcing causing the heat buildup.

Yeah your right about the mouthpiece. I was liking ti to the mechanical mods we use in the vape world where the thread on top and bottom do matter. The backend thread does matter though and I would still recommend cleaning the threads when you first get it and every so often as you use it.

    Discontinued The Grasshopper

I wonder if some of the issues people are having with the hopper are due to the fact they are not keeping the threads clean. The hopper uses the body in the circuit so it is extremely important that the threads in the backend and mouthpiece should ALWAYS be clean. Use ISO when you first get...

Fully charged that battery should be between 4.1-4.2v. If your charger is charging it over 4.2v then thats a problem.

Then that is a much bigger worry. You short circuit these batteries and they will vent.

I am only going by what it says on their website. If its not the case they really should change it. Still someone should not have received to dead batteries. "A 45 watt heating element means that there is always power to spare, no matter how aggressive the user."

These batteries still worry me. This is a 45W device. Assuming they are using 3.7v it takes ~12A. I have never seen a battery this size handle more than 10A continuous, in fact 10A may be a stretch for a battery this size I would of guessed, just at the sixe, that it would be more to 7-8A...

    Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

For those Canadians who sent their Crafty in for warranty, how long was the turn around? Also did you have to send to the US or Germany? Any trouble sending a device that may still get caught by the drug dog going through customs? I've had mine since February and it gets daily use, put a...

Thanks. I didn't see that before. I would really like to know what kind of batteries these are, chemestry wise. And I would prefer if they were made by one of the big battery makers. These batteries can be dangerous with a short if they are anything like the ICR and even IMR batteries used...
