    Tornado by Vestratto

My Tornado juuuust barely fit into my Wand when it was cold. Then on the first heat up, the Tornado head expanded from the heat and chipped the rim of the Wand glass. Didn’t break it or anything, but now it fits fine. I also saw on Reddit, some people have taken a Dremel and widened the glass...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Will I be able to buy just the stem, when the full release happens?

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Is the V2 stem still 8mm compatible like the V1 stem?

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

That’s good to hear. I’ll want to try the V2 at some point down the line.

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

Will production be quicker and stock more plentiful with the V2? I was lucky to get a Tempest early on, but have seen countless posts of people searching for a Tempest over the past year, and their only choices were to buy second hand on the exchange, or be lucky enough to catch a factory...

    Tornado by Vestratto

Yeah, I never hear good things about Vestratto as a company. And I heard they don’t even take returns under any circumstance? That’s wild, if true. I bought mine from Sneaky Pete, so I would hope/assume they would help if there was a problem.

Agreed. It’s really weird. One night when I didn’t really want to get blasted, just wanted to be a little buzzed before bed, I put in like 1/4 less than I usually do. But it somehow got me as high, if not higher, than my usual 3/4 full load. I don’t get it. The only thing I can think of, is...

Anyone see this cheap DIY stem adapter on Reddit? https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/zbkPK2PgmM I went ahead and ordered the adapter from Vgoodiez. I don’t have the same exact o-rings that the OP used, but got some Dynavap condenser o-rings to try. All it’s going to come down to is getting...

So it is just this stem, then you cut down some of it above the 2 green o-rings in your picture? https://wesleypipesandmore.com/product/tswooden-anvil-stem-or-sleeve/?srsltid=AfmBOoq0yb6RaECme9u_eWlJvyl7tq_6xDii4ajdOF9O3fTpJxvAlcRN

Wait, that fits the Tornado without an adapter?

I have a little metal scoop/tamp tool that I’ve been using. Works great, but it’s a little tedious, because I’m used to doing the stab-n-twist method with my Tempest and Dynavaps too. I don’t tamp it very much. Just enough that flower doesn’t fall out when it’s upright. My current stash is...

I’m going to go with the 8mm adapter, just because I already have 8mm stems and there’s just way more stem choices in that size. Still might pick up the TSW stem. Just waiting to see if it’ll go any cheaper than $80 for 4/20 sales. If it doesn’t, I’ll still get it. Just figure I might as well...

I still can’t decide on getting the Scruffywoofers adapter, or just buying the TSwooden stem. Maybe I should just get the TS now, and then get the Scruffy adapter later on when they’re available.

I follow Lee’s method to a T, and get great results and the dark ABV I spoke of, doing the 3 reheats. Make sure the depth is correct. I’m using the Dynavap adapter insert, unlike him though. But I copied his depth; divots on the head basically flush with the top of the Wand.

    Tornado by Vestratto

Eh, not a fan of the looks personally. Looks like I’ll have to wait for Scruffy to make some more adapters. But I’m glad there’s at least another stem on the market that doesn’t need an adapter. I wonder if the Tornado will ever be popular enough for stems for more companies to make stems that...

    Tornado by Vestratto

If we’re talking 1 heat up with the torch and 1 heat up with the Wand, those results are understandable. But me personally, someone who always likes to bring my ABV to a dark tobacco color, I get an even darker roast than your torch session. But I do reheats in my Wand. 525F til timeout for the...

Does anyone make a stem that doesn’t require an adapter, besides TSwooden?

    Tornado by Vestratto

Fair enough. I would love to give the Forge a try (the plug-in requirement of the Inductor is a no-go for me, personally), but at that price point, I’m just not a customer. I guess my whole issue here is that I wouldn’t want others reading, who are researching what to buy, what works with...

    Tornado by Vestratto

Yeah, I hope people don’t read that post and see “underpowered” and think the Wand isn’t a good match for the Tornado. I think saying it’s “underpowered” is a bit much, personally. To me, that would make it seem like it can’t perform well with the Tornado, which is 100% untrue. We’re talking 30...

I’ve admittedly never used a Forge, but have been using my Tornado in the Wand. They work great together. I use Lee from Tabletop Bong’s method; Tornado inserted so the divots on the head are level with the top of the Wand, 525F until timeout for the cold start, then 10-12 blinks for reheats...
