I'm exactly the same in terms of wanting to use a handheld on the couch! I had a Herborizer TI, but eventually sold it. This was mainly due to needing to be outdoors on a balcony at the time, which I don't need to do anymore. But the whole bare nature of it was worrying when not stationary. The...

Do you have to use the stem for this? Could you use something like the elev8r bowl directly instead?

This might be a crazy idea, but if I filled on of my stems with rubies/boro balls, do you think it could be used like a glass symphony i.e. using a bowl rather than putting weed in the stem itself? No I haven't tried it, little bit concerned about breaking my TM :D

Would it be possible to attach a straw or whip to the mouthpiece?

If it wasn't beer coloured I'd be all over that

Coming from joints, I'm really need a fan of the standard bong / bubbler type mouthpieces. Looking instead for those that use straws instead. Herborizer do one as does ehle, are there any others I might have missed?

Probably a stupid thought, but I wonder if this could be used like a Neo with a bit of fiddling. Really like the idea of something that could be used with a hand pipe

I already have a j hook, but I'd really like to get a hand pipe with a 14mm or 18mm bowl. All the interesting options I see don't have this, just a generic bowl. Is there anywhere in the UK or Europe that has these kinds of pieces or will do custom options that don't cost the earth?

You can get really cool vapour from the TM, particularly with the long stem. I've found removing the nuts from the cooling unit and adding rubies adds another level of cooling on top and it's easy to do / retains portability

Ah ok thanks, did try that but the balls I was using (3mm) started to block the holes of the cooling unit. What size are you using @dzoinp ?

I put rubies in the long glass stem yesterday.... MIND BLOWN. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it. However if anyone has a better solution for keeping them in I'd be interested in hearing what you did, I'm using the cooling unit at the bottom with a badly bent pipe screen at the top!

Former smoker here myself and definitely second the IH recommendation. I also use a tinymight in combination with a bubbler and whip, it's not quite MTL but still feels quite similar ie you can kind of 'sip'
