    Phase3 Vaporizers

Yeah, unfortunately you can’t encase the gems because they would crack the quartz from thermal expansion. I definitely hate having any metal screen, my first design avoided it (in the hot zone) by using what I called the “turbine screen” which was a screen made from push indents, kind of like...

    Phase3 Vaporizers

You are correct that domestic sourced sapphire would add several hundred dollars or more to the price. For that reason I’ve had to resort to using imported sapphires to make it cost effective right now. As much as I would prefer not to, since they are already a mass produced part I accept it for...

    Discussion on Inserts

In my opinion some dabs just taste better on some surfaces than others. Had stuff I liked on SiC, had stuff I preferred on sapphire. Recently I did a few quartz dabs for a change and was enjoying those. I designed an enail that combines the best elements of every dabbing system out there into...

    Tafée Bowle

Nah, my earlier comment was just meant as a tip for any vape. I found that my herb would stick to my tamp tool so I started doing the dry-pull instead to condense it down. As far as the Tafee, I admit I'm genuinely intrigued and maybe even a bit surprised by the positive rapport. That said, a...

The Mobile Vaporization Pipe by Fadespace

What new features is this bringing to the table? You can put a M22 on a DNA mod and you’re probably pretty much there. Isn’t it the same exact heating configuration as a Peak with aftermarket insert?

    Discussion on Inserts

I mean, the guy has practically built a reputation based on starting shit and undermining every other company in the industry, so I’m not surprised to hear the flack. I don’t doubt the parts exist though, the concentrate vaping scene is more advanced and willing to spend much more money than...

    Tafée Bowle

I take a dry pull for 2-3 seconds without the heater attached, it “vacuums” the herb down :mmmm:

I think they pay for themselves just in increased efficiency. The full insert works a lot better than pearls IME.

Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

Those people will never go away, the important part is does it get you stoned? Based on what you wrote I doubt you could get much more out of a bowl that what you’re doing. Sometimes it’s more stony to just go straight to the top versus temp stepping.

Fluxer Heaters, induction heaters for Dynavap

You can also heat it while empty, force cool to the click, quickly load, and reheat to get big first hits, with maybe a bit more flavor and body for a first draw. Used to milk a 15" beaker with the OG using that method or the one in Tommy's video.

    Microdosing Capsule Vaporizer

Thank you! Regarding your design: The end user wouldn’t really need access to see the air channels right? What if the capsule and cover were consolidated down to a single piece? Would probably be cheaper to manufacture at scale and you wouldn’t have to mess with pairing dissimilar materials...

Tools for Finding the Perfect Temp

It's because most dabbers on FC use e-nails. These temp things are super popular on instagram though, they can't seem to build them fast enough the demand is so high. They already seem way more popular that the enail ever was. Biohacker told me he tried most of them. They're all pretty similar.

    Microdosing Capsule Vaporizer

Nice work, I had a somewhat similar idea for a convection design using a capsule as the heater. I'm not a huge proponent to using capsules personally so I haven't messed with it too much though outside of conceptulization on an iPad doodle. I like the concept of warming up the air to reduce...

    Verdamper vaporizer

@Alexis I always see your great feedback on this vape but wonder why you use don't use this vaporizer anymore?

Yeah, the DT Gen2 had the same style heating element, I had one of those a few years ago. I liked the mostly ceramic build, though custom software like this device uses would definitely lead to a better and easier user experience, IMO it was the 10 second timeout on box mods that made the Gen2...

Not to be a buzz kill but that heating element is the typical $1 alumina ceramic heating element which has been around for many years in tons of portable vapes lol. Even on Alibaba they advertise them for use in vaporizers.

Interesting to read pretty different metrics on operating temperatures for the material, some sources cite as low as 340F. But I guess there are a few different grades and processing options for the material.

    Dynavap VapCap

I definitely get more than one bowl with the Aomai, but I agree with the consensus that the fuel capacity is very low in comparison to say, the common single jet Eagle torches with the 4 chamber tank. I do think it’s worth having for true pocket ability or very low tolerance users, but there...

Pen Yocan Apex Mini with heating in waves function for concentrate

The pulse tech (maybe based on PWM?) has been around for a bit in the oil pen scene; but I think this is the first “wax pen” I’ve seen with it. Probably works well for the intended purpose, though TCR is probably still a better system.

Watching from a distance, I would guess the oven cracking is due to thermal expansion.
