Silicon carbide has a high thermal conductivity so it heats and cools quickly. Similar to how a Ti Vapcap heats and cools quicker than SS. Heat retention is much better in an insulator (like glass)

I think it would be effective (its almost identical to a design I had, I call the "turbulent turn") But if you're not using the vrod dish, and you want more heated surface area, you could also just get a Weedeater top.

It’s not the mass of the Showerhead that was special, it’s the extra heated surface area from the deeper air holes.

Does that really emulsify? I heard the oil floats to the top after dissolving the sugar when making drinks that way but I've never tried it. True water soluble cannabinoids is pretty complicated from what I understand. I think the easiest method is an alcohol extract?
