Exactly my experience with the Tornado in the Flare, 60 (Max time) Seconds usually reduced to 60 Watts, when I pull the Tornado it will click. Never tried with less time but will give it a shot.

My understanding is that the FW has been changed on the latest Flare units and that they may not even recognise the Tornado, best take it with you to check.

Does the Flare not reduce the wattage. For me the Flare will reduce to 60-70 watts.

So this is presumably a HW upgrade, my assumption on purchase was that any changes would come by way of a FW upgrade through the USB port. Device does not work well with tempest, tornado rather disappointing

Given how this device works, I think most useful would be a simple table providing how entered temperature translates to time; maybe to both finished indicator, as well as lights out. C F Seconds to Blink Seconds to Lights Out X Y Z Z+D could delete that second column as no one uses that...

Ya, been a little tempted to grab the dremel and notch out the wood (liner actually) stem, as done on the metal stem, to get it to sit correctly.

I think the relevant detail is the disc curve orientation as per the manual
