Nope, I always check my batteries before inserting them on my grasshopper. I ordered 8 of them in my initial order. The battery melted after I inserted it in my unit that was turned off.

R.I.P my second replacement. I'm getting flashing red/blue lights as soon as I turn the device on. Submited my third warranty request today.

My grasshopper was showing some random cops lights (red and blue simultaneously). After I unscrewed the upper piece, I wiped some black oil that was building up with my fingers. This fixed the issue.

These pics of grasshoppers being used on glass without mouthpiece irks me, don't you fear possible scratches by doing this? :2c:

Got the new body yesterday, everything is fine now. Here is a pic I took today. :)

When that happened to me only a new body fixed it. And before the arrival of the new part, it started working again after some cleaning with iso/rotating batteries and waiting some hours/days, before it died again.
