Not having this item yet, I wasn't sure so am asking. Could you take the infused butter and stick it back in the machine (with another 1/8 ground ABV) and infuse again for more potency? I really like the idea of this item given the small quantities.

@CarolKing, many thanks for the info. I note the 1 tablespoon dose wasn't the potency you were looking for. Can you comment on how the potency of the Mota Pot butter compares to other methods (old fashioned simmer for hours, MB2, etc)?

@CarolKing please post your results. I've been watching this thread and am curious. The traditional "stink up the house" method has an obvious drawback, but works. MB seemed like it was just too big for what was needed. If $50 solves the problem, I'll be thrilled. :nod:

If the abv isn't spent, I would think you'd get potency without having to consume 1/4 oz per serving. However, we are all different. :) If you give it a try, please post your results and enjoy. Bon appetit! :D

I guess you could "re-abv", but you may find you don't need to. Putting it into fat (using the water method noted above) gets the goodies into the fat and gets rid of the dry/crap taste (IMHO). I've never seen anybody need 2 oz for 8 brownies this way. I'm not sure anybody I know could stand up...

Ahoy, Cmonk! You might be surprised how much stuff a good fat can absorb. You can get quite a bit of duff into butter, coconut oil, or cocoa butter (as well as other fats). Find a butter recipe that you like (@Vitolo might be a good source - he's super knowledgable about this kind of stuff)...
