If you want TRUE MTL hits, in my opinion the danivap fusion with the airflow almost all the way restricted is the way to go. For short hits, the camouflet convector is great. The bowl is cool to the touch by the end of each hit. Both have to be heated by a torch first though.

The only thing to do besides stir is to heat the actual bowl part of the tip for the last couple hits. Works very well and at least you still get pure convection hits in the beginning, for the top half of the load.

ha @Jimagic, sure was. I think I'm liking a double torch best right now. My single flame is an aomi, so maybe it's just small, but it can take a while to get a good hit and the back of the stone heats up pretty hot - this could be because I'm inhaling too quickly though and cooling it down...
