They were giving out two top caps at a time during the 420 sale because they were clearing old stock. I don't think they should be expected to send you two again but maybe that's just me. As long as the 5 clicks are in rhythm it'll work every time. The clicks don't even have to be all that...

I've found that sessions from the Alternate are pretty short. Any bowl is finished in less than 10 mins (visible vapor at least). It does produce big clouds and really heavy hits though. I don't have a Mighty so I can't really compare, but I can see the Alternate as a good smaller alternative.

If you want an experience that mimics smoking, you really can't go wrong with a Dynavap M. It's damn efficient too. If you want an even more efficient Vapcap then get one with a Ti tip.

As long as you get a new top cap it won't melt--or, at least, nobody's has yet. You're at risk of cracking, but mine hasn't shown any signs yet. I think it's worth it because the performance is really impressive otherwise. Still waiting on the WPA... :rolleyes:

FWIW, I've put my Alternate through ~20 mins at 420ish and the new CU shows no signs of cracking or deforming. But there is a plastic smell around the oven during an empty (weed-less) heating... It's easy to detect because it makes me light-headed and I don't wanna hear "burning off without...

I've found this to be true as well. Can't get really anything till the airflow is opened, but, once that's been done, it's like the floodgates are opened. Forgot how hard this thing hits. :ko:

$14 is not at all a bad price for a CU. It's cheaper then the Crafty CU. And everyone who bought these legitimately are able to get a free replacement cap from Vivant or the retailer. Vivant took a while to get everything done, but they've done pretty much everything right in the end. Vivant...

Alternate and Vapcap are a good combo for me. And am I tripping or is the Alternate more efficient than the M? Curious about how the Alternate's efficiency compares to the Omni as well, if anyone has any insight. :)

Mine shipped yesterday as well, and it's expected to arrive on the 11th! Can't wait to use my Alternate again (even though I'm loving my Vapcap :nod:).

Waiting for my replacement mouthpiece so I figured I'd post this monolithic photo I took of my Alternate a while back:

I bought an axially magnetized rare earth magnet from Amazon and my Vapcap tip is attracted to the side/edge. Thinking I can make a cool tool out of it still though.

Covering like 90% of the carb definitely seems to be the trick for big clouds on the M. :science:

Order a magnet or a Dynastash (which has a built in magnet) with it. Cools it down pretty quickly. And I prefer my M to all my battery portables.

I agree that a lack of a detailed response after WEEKS is unacceptable. The engineers etc. working on the issue should at least have come up with a reason WHY by now.

@Vitolo : If you know anyone with an Android phone they likely have a usb cable that would work (most Android devices use Micro-usb, as does the Alternate).

My mouthpiece definitely has some deformation in the same area as everyone else. Can't help but feel frustration with Vivant for their lack of a solid answer as to why (although I know Emily/CS isn't at fault).

Really damn good. That's a big reason I got the Alternate and it definitely pulls through. ABV doesn't get very dark bc of convection but the clouds have a clear stopping point, and the high hits me harder than I'd expect even when I only cover half the screen. Yeah, my battery life is nothing...

The mouthpiece is actually made to be taken apart and cleaned (you unscrew the screw next to the screen). It's kinda hard to get clean though. Idk why they didnt use a glass tube through the mouthpiece.
