    i wouldnt turn it past 55, with the heater properly centered you should be getting vapor at 35-55. for me above 50 the flavor really suffers i highly reccommend getting some silicone tubing for the whip, th stock tubing had a nasty taste to it but silicone is practically tasteless

    the heater cover wiggle can be reduced by moving the band up so that it lies a little more on the glass. if you press too hard a little movement will happen regardless, but you dont need to jam it into the bowl to create a seal, just holld it steadily im not sure what you mean when you talk...

    it looks like you did it right ptfe is used in cooking pans, they get to much higher temps and are still considered safe for food preparation

    cosmic is comparable if not better designed, and you can find it much cheaper if you shop around edit: ok i didnt completely read the post i was replying to the first time, but cosmic makes a 1.5" 4 pc grinder that looks nice, my cosmic 2.5 will grind very fine even with very small amounts...

    sorry to pick apart your post and no offense meant, but the filter is not volcanic, stone, it ais silicon carbide, a very heat resistant ceramic. you can see this invtac's picture on the vaporbuff site (vaporgenie uses the same filter for glass and wood)

    hes referring to the longer screws, they put the flange further up on the heating element, i guess it really depends on your heater cover then that is a good question tohugh, do you notice any difference in temperature between the two?
