Eh, we are all in different situations. Personally I don't mind giving 200$ to someone if it pushes the market forward and broadens it. Sure there might be some growing pains but if no one gives a seemingly good product a chance then it will never have a chance to become something bigger.

I usually use a bamboo earpick to scoop up the worse of it (that stuff is pretty potent) and fill the remain with iso and some coarse salt. Seal both end with some plastic wrap and vigorously shake. Shouldn't take more then a couple minutes to have it all cleaned up looking like new.

Soaking it in ISO is pretty much the best thing to do. If you don't care about collecting the goo I'd add some rock salt in there to hasten the cleaning.

Here's a little trick I came up with recently for those of us with bag vapes. Put the screen in your crucible at high temp and blow a bag. The gunk will cook right off , usually turning into a dry powder you can just rub off with your fingers. Plus you get a vapor bag from the potent goo out of it.

IMO if you used that kind of heat gun on a Lotus you'd probably end up taking the paint off the edges. The circle in the middle made to be heated up is only 3/4 of an inch across. As far as I know the nozzle on a heat gun is not that precise.
