Try stuffing some ss concentrate pad in the top cap. This catches the oil and gives it a place to be vaped instead of sucking through the screen. I use volcano pad, but any concentrate ss pad should work. I hope that helps.

@JoeKickass Your right, I suppose unplugging at max and then drawing cold air is about as rugged as it gets. But with out the air, it's the same as shutting off or timing out at max. My unit came before the firmware upgrade, but I dont think I suffer from the runaway heat that others have.
