If you're using the boost modes they are on a timer for the Mighty+ and go back to the base temp you started after 90 seconds or something. Probably similar thing here.

The videos Brenyo have posted include heating the Tempest up via the Wand. Seemed like it took 30-45 seconds iirc but will hold the heat much longer so only one or two cycles is needed. To me it seems a wash overall for total heat time to clear a bowl but definitely just an opinion at this...

Pretty sure it's anodized titanium. The color will hold well if so. It should the same anodizing process used on titanium medical equipment. The black is not a color in the anodizing spectrum for titanium, though, so I'm not sure how that one is done unless it's done using a heat method vs...
