Yeah, that sounds strange. A full battery charge should help eliminate variables. Pressing the button a few seconds at least should be plenty, or enough to make that hash totally disappear as vapor.

Does a blue light accompany your button when you press it, & does your concentrate seem melted? If no and no, press the button 5x to unlock it. This is a safety feature that keeps it from going off by mistake.
