I'm in the same boat. Multiple and frequent RMAs. And now an RMA since end October and haven't even had an acknowledgement. Avoid like the plaque.

Agree 100% with this. They suckered us into buying the Grasshopper to the point where we had to wait more than 2 years for an RMA and still not get it repaired. Then they suckered us into upgrading to an IO which IMO is a GH without the red & blue lights. Both GH and IO are totally unreliable...

IMO the IO is the Grasshopper without the Red & Blue LEDs. The IO is just as unreliable as the Grasshopper. when I bought 2 initially, they would respond quickly to an RMA, but now you have to wait for months. And I've had to return mine repeatedly. Nearly 10 times in less than 2 years.

I think you can forget about getting your Grasshopper repaired. They've been trying to get GH users to upgrade to the IO. They allow a trade in value on the faulty GH. But beware. I've had a similar response on my RMAs for the last 5 weeks. Note that they say "should".

Have 2 IOs in for repair more than a month now. Promises, promises, promises from Hopper Labs. They did that for over 2 years with 2 faulty GHs. And even if I do get them back, they'll be faulty again within a couple of weeks. And we'll go through the whole charade over and over.

I think he wanted to have a spare one so he could charge one while using the other. I dropped one on the floor the other day and it popped open. Saw the 18650s inside. Just clicked it back together.

I purchased 2 IOs for the same reason. Both of them are in Hopper Labs awaiting repair since the end of March. It's the 4th time they've been returned in less that a year since I bought them.
