Ya I usually pack it down pretty good. And put in enough glass flowers to fill the bowl. I usually put 2 on bottom then some herb 2 more flowers some more herb then 3 more flowers on top poking down to keep everything down. Also very interested in seeing how well those wooden stems perform.

It's it best to keep it upright. Not only will it help keep the puck down, I also find if you hold it any other way vapor escapes from the grill. Tho glass flowers work great at keeping it down and would solve your problem IMO.

I think im gonna go for a bit of both. Maybe 5 cheap ones and a $10 one.

The flame is slightly better, but not enough to make a difference. Off to go look at more lighters.

Ya im gonna try purging it and see if that helps. Using Colibri butane so i dont think thats an issue. Hoping the replacement one comes in tomorrow. Edit: Ya i think im gonna get a bunch of the cheap lighters and a better one for home use

Just like to mention most of those were turned up to full. The lighter isnt great but a little better then in those pics. And new lighter on the way hopefully it helps.

I agree the lighter isn't the best, i have another one on the way should be here any day. But not so sure thats the problem, it still gets plenty hot but the herb stays green. I have tried the flame on every setting including turned all the way up which was way to high but still nothing. Have also tried going from hardly drawing on it at all to as hard as I can but makes no difference. I don't think the issue is my technique as i have tried every different variable...

It is the correct lighter the one that comes with it. And yes using dry ground herb. I believe it is an actual lotus and not the knock off. It has the small hex screws not sure what other differences between the two. I am thinking it is some kind of issues with the hot plate. Hoping Mendocino...

Have tried holding it to the plate for 2+ min and nothing. And no it isn't vaping at all. It's still green.

I've tried adjusting the flame to every height and moving it closer and further away. Also tried following along with videos and tried drawing really lightly. The herb is also still green even if I hold the lighter right up against it for 2 min. It just seems like it's not getting past the cap

Forgot to mention the herb was 3/4 full just poured in not packed at all. And I have the newest version with the patent #. And now that you mention it the plate isn't glowing.

Haven't picked one up myself hey but the D020 bubbler from Dhgate is like $30 and is getting great reviews. Plan on getting one soon.

I will still smoke the odd time with my buddy who still insists on the odd joint tho I have been able to successfully convert him to about 80% vaping. I mostly vape for it's efficiency, I use twice as much when I smoke so I just find it a waste.
