Even with my post above I'm not currently vac purging my wax (qwiso/qwet so far). I would if I had the setup. I recommend people go this route if they have the money or need medicinal grade stuff. I also want to recommend the safest method first (even if it isn't what I'm currently using)...

I read on here somewhere to purge until the bubbles are mostly gone and you can touch the oil with a finger and it doesn't stick (ie hardened surface). As with the other stuff I posted this is just my experience and I'm pretty new, YMMV or you could easily find a better way. Love the way this...

Sorry it is hard to explain in words. You are close though. I don't recommend putting ethanol wash onto slickpad (you do this after initial evap). One of the main reasons (for me) for not doing the initial evap in the oil bath is so I can easily do this step outdoors with just the hair dryer...
