I would say that I did notice a slight metallic smell and taste when my caps were new. But only if I heated the cap and drew with nothing in the chamber. It went away pretty fast though after the cap was "seasoned" so to speak.

Thanks for the responses guys, I've seen the vids and that works well with for the ceramic screens but not so much for the ccd screens ime. I took out a ccd using that method and it kind of warped the screen, maybe because its more flexible. Just wondering if anyone had a different technique

Quick question for all the seasoned cappers out there. Whats a good method to get the ccd screen out of the ti tip without damaging it? Its easy to pop in there but seems alot more trouble to remove.

From what I've heard the new Ti tips are still somewhat in development as they're still undergoing small refinements. So best case scenario we wouldn't be seeing those mass produced for at least a month or so. I cant wait to see the improvements.

This one is an amboyna (spelling?)burl omnivap body. I also have another burl stem I got a while ago thats pretty solid. Edit.. Only reason I'm slightly worried is because I dont want the cracks to get worse with the heating and cooling of the device.
