So I have a tupperware mostly filled with AVB and I am considering doing a QWISO run with it. I have tried this in the past but wasn't thrilled with the results...but since it is AVB I feel like nothing ventured nothing gained right? I have seen what look like some pretty good results from folks...

I have both of them. They have the same perc so function wise I see little difference. My preference is for sidecars, and closed mouthpieces, so the "D" doesn't see a lot of use in my rotation. Either way you can't go wrong!

@blankrider try browsing the threads for diffusion beads. I have no personal experience but I understand that they are generally marble like and you put them in the can with the water. They help diffuse the vapor or smoke more than a perc alone.

I only have morning sessions on the weekends. I also wake up with the dogs before SWMBO. I may not get to sleep in all that often but it makes for a much happier wife!

My wife was never a fan of combusting in the living areas. Most of the time I just went down to the basement to take care of business. Now with the vape she is much more on board with me using it upstairs in the living room. Her only complaint at this point is the amount of gear that goes along...

If price is an issue maybe look into Da Buddha (DBV). It has the same heating element as the SSV but in a less expensive housing. Though it still could fail on the conservation side of things.

That's....not all that much really. A nice collection to be sure and definitely a far cry from the days of just skinning up. Maybe my perpective is skewed though. I have always been into all sorts of paraphernalia and in the past I had tons of it. One cabinet for everything now.

The SSV is an AWESOME unit but conservation is not its strong suit. Unless you mod it of course...
