+1 on testing another charger although I've rarely seen mine fail compared to the batteries themselves - but MFLB supply NiMH rechargables. NiCd rechargeables were the ones with 'memory' and needing care so they were deep discharged regularly - NiMH tech more or less makes that problem a thing...
