My order status says the same. I was a late IGG backer and added on a second SS hopper in spring 2014...and both now have Feb 2014 as estimated ship date. So I am guessing all the IGG orders are similar, perhaps as a placeholder until they get the order status feature fully implemented...
Nice thread idea. I don't use a specific room, but a buddy has always carved out a "thinking room" in his last few places. Not a party room, but a quiet, comfortable adult place to hang out alone or with a friend. Here's the spec for that room:
Ideally a quiet room or study. Windows are...
This is a new tidbit of news for IGG backers, as it implies they think that the IGG shipments should all go out by the end of this month (barring stockouts on specific models).
I'm toward the end of the IGG backers, and for me the key summer vaping season (family vacations, festivals) starts...
This makes no sense to me. looked at the website. Says nothing about what the device is. I thought it was a joke then I looked at the team and there are some fairly heavy hitters from the mainstream backing this.
I do call BS on anyone trying to release a vape/phone combo. The phone part...
All done. Got about 260g of oil out of it, after losses. All went into capsules. After I strained I tried mixing in a little xanthan gum powder into the oil, so it would thicken up a little more and perhaps prevent leaky capsules. Just tried first capsule 30 mins ago and it seems same or...
Decided to run a batch of AVB oil today in the sous vide. 60g of ABV, 375g coconut oil, 21g liquid soy lecithin in a large vacuum bag. Set the SV for 195F, just dropped it the oven in while still heating. Will leave in for ~3 hours. No oven decarb beforehand. Was worried I might have put...
Here is the link to the white paper I was originally referencing where 1/3 of the THC left was still in THC-A form even after 30 draws. This is the FC thread where it was mentioned. Yes they used a MFLB, but it did seem like they cooked it pretty good after 30 hits. My guess is that if you...
I was looking at his original decarb article from 2012 that has been referenced on FC in the past. This was a dry oven decarb. He lost THC in that sample too and never figured out why. Wonder if there are other reactions taking place in the sample where solid components are converting to...
I just went back and looked at the video. That's very interesting / helpful. I've never seen this done elsewhere. Here's a recap:
1) He's doing an experiment to ascertain whether you can decarb in a sous vide
2) His method is to grind the herb and then put it *dry* into a vacuum bag, then...
I usually use my Sous vide supreme which has its own container, but I also have an Anova. I'd say you want to use the bigger vessel which will hold the temp better. Good luck...
Also vaccum sealers help a lot.
When you are done with the time machine I'd like to borrow it so I can go into the future and use my grasshopper. I'll pick up a few extra while I'm there if anyone wants one.
I've been buying up all the rhubarb and fresh strawberries I can find while they are still in season. One part each by weight strawberries and rhubarb, half part sugar. Vacuum seal and sous vide on 160F for 2 hours. End up with a great sauce / syrup that goes great with ice cream. Want to...
I'd call that very minimal conduction since only the very end turned color. From the looks of it, there is virtually no conduction along the sides of the chamber. Looking at the light brown color on the end, the conduction is probably only occurring through the air gap between the heating...
Yeah. Even if they are just going to briefly bench test each unit before shipping as normal inspection, they probably will want to test at least a hundred or so before they ship anything. This will be the first time they've had enough parts to test this way, so some mfg defects or other...
I like the technique of using the same ISO over and over to clean with. I find that when soaking Solo stems, etc, that there isnt enough there to make it worth reclaiming, but I can see how after 6 months or so you get quite a bit.
Are you using a dedicated vessel that you can keep sealed...
Believe it or not, I haven't lost hope and really believe/hope we'll see the initial units ship soon. If you've done a few crowdfunding campaigns you'll notice everyone has an overly optimistic timeline / schedule. Here's a recent favorite of mine: the handheld flamethrower on Kickstarter...
My thoughts exactly... I've been at this for well over a year now. Believe it or not, this time last year the updates were still holding out hope for an early Summer 2014 release. When last summer came and I didnt have a working portable, I broke down and bought an Ascent to tide me over...
I got a grey Ti because I thought it would be stealthier than the non-coated hoppers. Less shiny, more bland and businesslike in a laptop case. I was also hoping the grey color would make it harder to see the temperature adjustment markings since those seem like a tip-off that this is not a...
Yeah the colors are more muted than in the renderings. But think I like most of them better. More muted looks more low key / premium, which will blend in more when stealth is needed.
My whole objective with edibles has been similar to what you are going for -- small, shelf-stable, stealthy, and potent. Here are the two things that have worked the best for me so far:
1) If you are going the coconut oil route, capsules are obviously the way to go. Sort of a waste of fresh...
