I understand why guys think that, same as those that think radiation is a factor in Vapman. But Thermodynamics, least as I understand the rules, says that's not the way it happens. Same as putting a temperature sensor into the load in Ascent showed it's conduction, you can do the same with...

Actually not. If you look down the hole you'll see a gap over the top of the cup. By carefully plugging the holes on my first one with toothpick plugs I convinced myself most of the air got to the stem this way. Subjective for sure, and the current larger holes may let more air in that way...

We guessed, at the time, that they had a lot of base plates in stock when they changed. It is confusing for sure. OF I think so as well, but IMO they'd have to move the jack to be really user friendly. The cord should not fight you, coming out the bottom makes more sense. At one point I...

How about a worn sticker to cover that part up? Maybe with "Ajax HIV Test Specimens". With 'do not delay' under that? Then a simple paper seal with a hand written number should keep them out. Maybe even spill just a tiny bit of ketchup on near the latch like it might be leaking out to speed...

Probably not, they all say that. Easy to test, plug in the charger and see if it'll start up. If it does you're the proud owner of a new style, the old PA is useless to you. If you bought it new in the last year it's almost certainly new style. The numbers on the bottom are not a reliable...

Way too subjective for a reliable answer IMO. Even 'does XXX vape smell worse than YYY' in most cases? A big advantage is the smell is almost exclusively confined to the stems, cap both ends of them (or put them in a vial) and you've pretty much covered it. The dogs, parents, roommates out...

By all means do contribute to the market if you think you can. You might do a little more market research before you 'bet the farm' though? For instance there's a lot of happy customers on this Forum who don't agree Ascent is "a piece of shit". And other threads have many times more 'happy...

Not to my knowledge, you can be the first. Let's see, the charger maker says 'don't do it, it' might be a serious problem'. The vape maker says 'don't do it, it might be a serious problem.....and it voids the warranty'. Gee, what to do? Factory batteries are at most a few dollars more than...

I find nothing out of the ordinary there, do you? They're in business to make sales. While there are exceptions of course, my experience with most LHS employees is they are long on advice but short on actual experience. Their claim that 'this is the best' or one vape is better than another...

    The Arizer Air

Of course that's it. Air is a convection vape, all heat to the load has to be by conduction, after any heat that seeps in is used to make vapor the temperature locally is too low to make vapor and you have a dandy cotton heat shield keeping more away. Thermodynamics works that way. At the...

Don't put them flat. That will reduce the open area over they holes by about 50% and it will foul very quickly. A dome, even a modest one, allows vapor to pass through the entire screen meaning much longer between cleanings. 5/8 inch is probably the best. You can put enough dome in pressing...

Sorry you missed it, we've been through this several times. Probably the best/cheapest option is to order a USB power cable. I'll second that one. Hitting hot ceramic with cold water is kind of asking for trouble. Remember, the glazing is basically a thin glass film over the hot ceramic, cool it too fast and it's going to crack. I'd be worried about the thin webs between the holes as well. It'd sure bum me out to...

Actually you can use the plastic topped air stems as is. That is they mate with 14mm GonG fittings. And they're ten bucks, not 15, you might give it a try? As for trying to 'feel out' the best configuration/technique for you that can indeed be a never ending process (or at least seem so)...

Are you guys talking about the same thing? I see it 'coming out of the box' with the stir LID installed (check at about 7 minutes), not the stir TOOL that comes with the unit??? That is the stir lid is still an extra money option that must be installed by the owner. I too suspect the...
