Ah, good to know, thanks @DieHard

Ten minutes and still no green...pretty impressive (even though I know you wanted some chlorophyll for your cancer...saw you say that in another thread). I would give it a good long soak/stir/shake if you want some of the green...maybe another 5 or 10 minutes in addition to what you already did...

Wow, just wow. That really needs to be fixed. I wonder if @2clicker is right asking if Kleen will ever show up in here again. I'm going to Grainger tomorrow to pick a couple gallons of 99.8%ISO, so far my runs have been with 91iso. I will order the Kleen too so I can experiment with mixing, but...

I think if I add just a small amount of iso to the Kleen, then I will also change wash time. Example, if I have 10ml of Kleen, I will take 10% of that amount and that's how much iso I will add. I will then reduce the wash time (using "normal" qwet wash times) by around 10% or a little more than...

Yep, we use heat to just speed up the evaporation process...I typically do not let the contents of the dish get above 110-115*F.

It does. At least with qwiso/qwet since alcohol absorbs water from the air.

I don't think you're missing something....I completely agree with you. If Kleen is EtOH and EtOH is used in QWET, then it stands to reason you wash longer than QWISO. If I had Kleen, I would play with wash times; probably like 1 minute to 3 minutes and several points in between.

Uh...I'm confused now...isn't that article doing the opposite of what I'm asking? (I should not have read that after doing some yaba-daba's). After doing some light reading, I so far can't find anything really significant on the mixing of 99iso and EtOH...they don't react in any way really...

Interesting read, thank you @farscaper. My question would then be, does iso act like benzine when added to ethanol?

I've been away all day with work and have to continue, but thank you for this and I will read this at my first opportunity tonight and give my thoughts. Just a heads up for everybody, I will be changing my username soon as I have come to realize that the current one may not be a good one to...

Well, as @2clicker mentioned, got to skunkpharmresearch and use their QWET method as a guide/starting point. I would also peruse the QWET thread and google is your friend as well. I think we are all at somewhat of a new starting point with this product, even though it is 100% ethanol, but maybe...

I'm bummed at that but more so that there is no QWETISO! I could've told the story of the day when a brilliant chap named @farscaper started a new movement in extarctions....the day QWETISO was born. Hmmmm maybe an experiment is in order professor @farscaper? In all seriousness though, I'm...

Aha! That's good news @DieHard. Ya, that lack of communication is not too good...did they give you a tracking number? I don't know if you're joking about method, but you would just follow the QWET method...if you were joking, ignore my last sentence.

Hmmm...so two of you had to sign for it...not looking good for me...I will have to contact Kleen direct since we don't know if they'll be back here soon or not.

cool @wootze! Looking forward to see how your runs go. I asked earlier in this thread if they will ship without signature (see my post for why I need that), but I haven't seen @KleenXtract in here since that post. Oh, and that evap from last night that had the milky in it...as time went on...

I should have clarified, in my above post, what I was evaporating was part of a third wash, so what I'm seeing is probably a bit more waxes, fats, and more of the water soluble stuff I would imagine...and probably more water too from the above and it's damn humid here tonight.

I, too, am in a high humidity area...and I'm seeing what you are describing right now as I have a pyrex pie plate over some hot water on an induction cooktop, window open, fan blowing across it and out the window, and I am seeing that. (which is why I keep editing and adding, lol...

ahhhh ok my bad then, thank you @DieHard for clearing that up....must have missed that (baked). Ok so now I know it's pure ethanol. Now, does the theory hold water (pun intended) that maybe a little iso added would help prevent atmospheric water absorption? I also asked earlier; if anyone can...

As @farscaper has stated and on the datasheets, there is already a small amount of iso in the KleenX, which is why we are curious as to the effect of that small amount of iso...is it being an azeotrope to the ethanol? is it used to keep the ethanol from absorbing any atmospheric water? etc...
