What temp does Ultem 9085 require? I got a hacked CubePro filament printer sitting here :tinfoil: Just as an aside, I ran my cell plugs using PLA and ABS. The only thermals I was worried about was junction temperature. I found that with the 20A fuse junction, it got very hot, indeed...

I am all up on beta testing for you. And I'd be happy to provide feedback and data based on the 2 LB's and 2 MD's I have. One LB is still new as that is the backup spare in case something happens to my DD. But I can certainly get data from it based on a new screen and compare that to see if...

    Making Draw Tubes... Flower Quince?

I am quickly making up for the collection loss. I am now testing a 1-week cure and a 1-day cure. This short wait ferrets out warp and more importantly, options on the VC bore. Basically, when I make the VC bore (21/64"), it is rarely axial to the through hole (5/32"). Then shrinkage takes...

I'd love to have a mod with all the analysis tools but alas, I cannot justify one in any sense of wish list justification. I suspect you will find the mod to be quite responsive to the LB if you set the screen temp. Shaking the LB is what presents new herb to the screen for roasting.

    The Magic-Flight Box

Considering we are drawing in cool air, the temp above the herb only gets to a saturated state after some significant warm-up time and no drawing if the screen was set to a specific temp. It is this drawing that pulls herb down to the heat source. This is the good, the bad, and the ugly in the...

Oh, TCR of herb could be problematic. The zone of interest is under all that other duff. But technically yes, the screen temp is the herb temp in conduction vapes.

@scy123 - @OF has filled in a lot of the blanks for me in these discussions. Seeing how I am coming at this from a mechanical background, I am more than grateful to @OF for his timely and expansive insight. Let's just say that cell technology was a missing piece of my long sorted wanderings...

What he said! Okay enough of that. Getting a DV-badged glass stem would be cool. I'd still like it without the freakin' a-hole!

Both my new '19M's were very loose. Pinched to perfection! Cooling clicks on my '18M may move the cap a couple of millimeters but it probably shouldn't. OMG! SO WE'D GET AN ACTUAL CARB? After all that correcting and flogging about "THIS IS NOT A CARB!" ...because it ISN'T until it IS...

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

Capillary tube; that's the key! Thanks @Vaporooni . I definitely need a bigger bowl than the VC but I can reduce the ID with split 12mm tubes to shim clearances for the VC. I am also still using the Scotch Bright pads. They work nicely to hold the bulb in place. Just don't short the lead wires.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

Thank you @brainiac - I decided that the 12mm tube will suffice for now. It is light enough and heats up in 10 seconds. I may just make a 12mm VC for the bowl :hmm:

Single cells with BMS is no problem whatsoever. Cutoff is 2.5V and most BMS will shut off at 2.75V (except some cheap stuff) if not 3V. The only cell care that really matters is multi-cell packs that depends on a voltage divider network for charging. That balance function and such. I saw a...

Nice device! And yes, IH is consistent (relative) VC operation and no butane smell.

Aha... now you've hit my peeve with Ni-Mh. At these draw rates, just draw a linear curve from 1.35V to 0.9V and plug that in at 1.8amp-hours per trench. That's pretty close to what I am experiencing during the usable charge, and reading on recharged cells after a full session from the Opus for...
