I’ll make one in high carbon steel. At 21 Btu/(hr oF ft) it should be right between the Ti and SS tips. I agree it would not be production friendly.

Guess I’ll have to make one for myself. A stress riser is a spot in the metal where stress from machining accumulates in the crystaline structure of the metal. Cracks generally start at stress risers.

@vapshift I had a dream that George started making a Ti tip where the cooling fins were an Acme thread. As were the air grooves in the tip. Physics/thermodynamics dreams are weird Good Morning Fuckers of Combustion :D

As a MET (master electronics tech) I collect consumable parts for things I like. Example: for an e-Nano I’d have spare heaters and power supplies and stems. Or a way ro repair each piece. In other words I have a fuckton of spare parts.
