As well as putting more strain on the power wires since the wires would hang down a lot more. Closer to horizontal is more I deal...kinda like the LSV wine bottle stand; keeps the heat from going back towards components and provides some strain relief.

I was thinking on the smaller one, you could probably cut out one of the "prongs" and the device should fit nicely. The reason I posted above was specifically because it had a bigger gap between the "prongs".

@oldfool led me to this, I think it might hold the HighLighter better since it has wider slots? And, I would have it so it sat opposite the way the utensils sit in the image below, so that the "open end" is sticking over and in juts air while most of the body rests on the silicon. What do y'all...

Ya I've seen those, the Glob-Mobs are nice. I've seen a bunch on Etsy that are just plastic, no good for heat. Some are plastic with a silicone o-ring, and one guy there, ascendingtom, makes them with a full silicone insert for $10 a piece. I was wanting to see if there are some other methods...

As the title says, I'm looking to see how and where you put a hot carb cap right after you dab...looking for better ideas than I have below. Right now I'm using an 18mm male flower bowl turned joint side up and I let it sit there to cool.

I agree with your assessment @cybrguy I'm really digging that left can with detachable mouthpiece. BTW, the little bubbler I got from @SSVUN~YAH ...I love it! I've pulled 6 dabs in the past hour so far from the 25mm @710Coils deep-dish and I love it as mush as my inline recycler.
