Yes I know I use my Omicron HVD at 7.4v with the Core. It works excellent, like a baby Persei. What battery configuration works at 7.4v with the Omicron HVD. The SS kit tubes cannot be stacked like the Persei.

It doesn't really work like that with W9 products. The"battery" as you call it is actually a top ( part with button, cart goes here.), tube (holds battery), bottom cap. The Persei can be configured at 3.7 or 7.4 volts depending on batteries used. Tubes can be added for higher battery capacity...

I usually roll a few BBs but never more than I will use for a day. The less surface area exposed oxygen and light the better. Oxygen and light degrade the actives. Every little bit helps.

I have the same issue with consistency changing. I purge in a thin film In a Pyrex dish floating in an EFP (electric frying pan). I try to keep the water temp @ or below 120F. I pop all bubbles until I see no more. Then scrape together and place in freezer for a short time to make it easier...

I use this method more than a torch and nail. Some people get nervous when you break out a torch. The Nail method will definitely get you there quick. But this is nearly as good. I can use it with any glass piece with GonG fitting. Here I'm milking 2 bubblers with the Persei/ 7.4v KISS cart...

The power5x is made in Korea. I have used zippo brand ( sold at local grocery at very reasonable price) in a pinch. It also says made n USA. Very interested to see if I can tell the difference in end product between n-butane and the mixed gas( Power5x).
