    The HI

I'm about to join the HI family after a long wait. Patience my friends... I believe it will be worth it. It will be my first log.

    Paper Roasting Tubes

I will be getting a paper roasting tube from Alen along with a custom HI. Not sure if the paper aspect is safe. Anyone have thoughts on this? Like how much would the paper chemicals leach out?

    The J-hook thread!

Looks nice. Any j-hook is good, one with spikes with better.

    The HI

@DRCousCous How is your bamboo HI treating you? What size core did you get? And is it working as expected, better or worse, for what you thought it would be as a microdosong vape?

    The HI

@Razhumikin thanks for the reply. I definitely want the slide-a-bowl and SS tip on poly 14mm wpa. And some assorted silicone sleeves and 10mm glass tube sizes.

    The HI

@Razhumikin nice looking HI. Which tubes did you get? I'll be getting a walnut HI (3/8 ss heater cover) soon. How is yours treating you?

    Vaping in "adult life"

Wow, just wanted to share that my neighbor is chopping 6 legal 6' plants. In Massachusetts; they are beautiful and mostly there / possibly a little early - rain coming. He is almost 60; me about 50. I went over to say hi and take a peek. It is freaking wild how society has changed. I used to...

    The HI

Also, check out Alan's updated website www.toasty-top.com. The site had been static for a while but is now revamped with a lot of better information. It seems like there are ready made vapes and roasting tubes. Otherwise the wait list for a custom may be over a year. Please be aware that he is a...

    The J-hook thread!

Sorry for the double post (where is the edit button, swear I looked...) Here is a picture of my garage effort to build a j-hook stand. It works and I'm good with it. Behind the wooden stand is a carved piece of foam and box cover for storage and protection. Enjoying my "no throat burn," Grav j-hook.

    Vaping in "adult life"

I enjoyed reading this thread last night. Finding balance and moderation has been a challenge at times. I love it but can't use it like used to. It's Great to have you, this community, to bounce ideas off of and learn how you do you. About me: I'm 49 and became a pothead at 18. I bought Jack...

    The J-hook thread!

That is a good find. I was in the garage today and found the hole in my duck tape roll to be a good temporary stand for my new grav jhook. I am thinking of building a wooden stand that has a larger shallow hole for the 90 degree bend and coat hanger wire to hold up the neck.

    The Lotus Vaporizer

That's great the enano 14mm wpa fits tight with the lotus cap. Just got j-hook but only have the aluminum pipe and lotus cap. Aluminum pipe runs a little hot for my throat.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

Thanks @brainiac I will first try with the ohmite 25J20RE resistor. I picked up a used drill press. Need a rotary tool, pipe cutter, soldiering iron, etc. I plan to detail my progress here. So again thanks and to @blokenoname for your willingness to share this knowledge.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@brainiac nice work. Which heater do you prefer in your logs? Do you prefer the logs with the original ceramic resistor or the newer 3d printer cartridge heater?

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@sayvay Thanks for the explanation and engineering new ideas. Looks interesting. I don't get the reason for seasoning the black bowl and what is it seasoned with? Thanks again for the info.

'The Misty Log' - DIY wooden Log Vaporizer

@sayvay sounds like you have found a new assembly method using NPT piping. Please share some pictures of how you have done this. Less tools the better as I am thinking of building a log.
