Just curious, what kind of butane are you using. How are you vaping the oil? If it is over purged you may lose most of the terps and kill the flavor. And in extreme cases boil off the actives. If you get it too hot, you begin to get into decarboxylation.

Whipping is generally thought to only introduce more oxygen which, in turn speeds up degradation of the actives. Try to keep temperatures as low as possible especially under vac. Vacuum lowers boiling points. As you go up in temperature lower the vacuum pressure so as not to boil off goodies...

I remember someone was ISO soaking them and refilling, but I remember them saying they had an "off" taste after. I had a couple that started leaking and I reclaimed the oil with ISO :puke:.

I thought about torching them but ended up doing an extended soak in fresh ISO. Took it out, tried to absorb the ISO with paper towel then back in fresh ISO. Came out clean as new but slower than torching.

The general thought for water is. Smoke = Cold water. Vapor = Warm water. Think Vapor conditioning, rather than "cooling".

I find sometimes with mine (SR-71 with 74 center post) the rod gets a light film of oil which creates an intermittent situation of light working but no heat. A little swab with ISO on the rod and in the center post solved it for me.

What voltage do you have the Core set to? AFIK there are still some voltages that are not available to the Persei. Try 3.7v or 7.4v depending on accessory.

Slits or cuts that are flame-polished will be clean and clear. If they are not polished they will look frosted and sharp. It is mainly aesthetics but the polishing may make the area of the slits more stable and less likely to crack.
