Not joking but squishing the bud directly on the hole may make the pull super restricted. I have used my pax with whole buds and it worked just fine. I believe a little air pocket is necessary above the hole in the oven. Ninja'd.:ninja:

You could aways put whole buds in the pax oven. A fine grind isn't needed since it's conduction. :shrug:

I use tiny amounts with 2-3 good pulls. Basically enough to cover the screen.
