Can I use the Pax without the screen?

Hey guys so I'm new to vaping with the pax being my first, long story short I lost the screen and was just wondering if it would be ok to still use the pax but just without the screen?

Do you at least have a pipe screen to put over the hole? Unless you pack it ultra tight I just see a lot of bud getting sucked up through the air hole.

No I don't have any pipe screens at the moment, I tried some tobacco and it worked fine but then again i grind my cannabis finer than tobacco..do you think perhaps grinding a little bit to get a coarse grind, then putting that put over the hole tightly packed, then grinding the rest of the oven load very fine would work?

Kind of like the same concept as a nug plug in a pipe almost sorry if it doesnt make sense

It makes perfect sense. Ive honestly never used one without a screen but theoretically it should work man, just dont hit it too hard. Im interested to hear the results.

You could aways put whole buds in the pax oven. A fine grind isn't needed since it's conduction.

I'll be more than happy to update this thread on how it goes wont be till tomorrow morning though when I can pick up some meds,

What? Are you messing with me? I'm new to vaping so im not sure lol if thats the case then i could just a small nug, squish it flat and use it to cover the hole

and is there a way too multiquote on this site instead of double posting?

Yea I would use one small nug and squish it flat...just dont smash it too hard against the hole otherwise you will block the airflow completely.

Not joking but squishing the bud directly on the hole may make the pull super restricted. I have used my pax with whole buds and it worked just fine. I believe a little air pocket is necessary above the hole in the oven.

Update: did the nug plug type of way and can say it worked excellently and i officially now love my pax
