Just force of habit - sure Li-ion batteries are fine getting drained/recharged as desired. But I prefer not to deep cycle a battery which has been stored for extended periods of time without giving it a nice long charge.

Omf, personally I would never completely drain any rechargeable battery before the initial long charge. For future reference, I personally only do a single short 5 minute burnoff at max temperature with every new battery powered vaporizer before I toss it on the charger for the initial charge.
