There's a lot to like about a rig that isn't prone to combust. To much work to medicate for me. Just pour the vape into my lungs thank you. That's where I got the '18 to with finesse. Certainly a lot more combustion risk. My compromise would be '19. Just a little tamer but still a fire...

When I refer to the cap it is just the cap. I will always signify a vapcap proper as VC or VapCap in text. Dremel has a wire brush that can get in there. Use steel brushes and not brass.

Personally to salvage an '18 tip from smokers hell, torch the hell out of it. Turn anything organic into pure carbon. Then scrape off the remaining solid carbon particles. Don't go red-hot, but close is fine. You can wire-wheel the discoloration from the tip.
