I have a glass bowl/slide I got with another bubbler, works great as a carb cap. I think you need to play with the heat a bit. My ceramic nail stays hot the longest of any of them, if yours is cool enough to puddle, you just need to heat it a bit more initially.

Unvaped residue will burn on any nail........if it was glass it would have cracked by now, it's quartz.....no need to season quartz :peace:

What shortcuts did you take?

I've got Titanium, Ceramic and Quartz nails. The Quartz banger is my favorite. Like Caligula described, it stays cool enough to heat while holding, or you can carb it by lifting after the dab. Taste seems very similar to other quartz nails, the design is just easier to heat and use.

Nice work! Do you wrap a coil first, then insert the FC2000? What gauge wire is that? At that impedance, are you running to on a mod?

So for you guys successfully building oil rigs, does airflow matter? I mean, obviously you need some, but is it less important than for ecig use? Is one hole enough, or two? How about adjustable airflow RDAs, do you like them? Is anyone using one of the newer adjustable RDAs like Quasar or Stillare?

Sounds like a great idea. I really want to learn how to do them myself, but I think others will definitely be interested. I guess I'll just get some 28 ga. Kanthal and X-116 and do a single coil for starters.
